| Recently I have been looking at aftermarket rear lower control arms so that I can safetly run a wider wheel tire combination. Although I would like to get a tubelar setup A arm that would allow for the wider wheel tire combination. Although I am not too fond of the idea of using pillow ball mounts rather than the oem mounts. I am not as bothered by the idea of it being stiffer as I am that the people I know running pillow ball joints say they have a life expectancy of about 1-2 years of daily driving. All the aftermarket rear lower control arms I have looked at have used the pillow ball joints. So if I have to go with a rear aftermarket lower control arm it would seem optimal to keep pillow ball joints to a minimum to increase the reliability of my setup. So how would it be if I use the mostly stock front suspension(no roll center adjusters w/ pillow balls on the front), the z1 polyurethane front upper adjustable control arm, ikeya formula rear lower control arm, stillen rear upper control arm. Could I JUST run aftermarket rear lower control arms with no other suspension mods? What would be the downsides to doing this?
